Apple has released the Beats Fit Pro, a set of sports earbuds that includes many of the AirPods Pro features.

The novelty has been tested by athletes and, likewise, the headphones are protected against sweating with an official IPX4 certification.

Beforehand, Beats Fit Pro was leaked before its official announcement.

However, at its launch, Apple unveiled headphones that transcend the concept of true wireless by Beats.

It has a design dedicated to the sport and moving away from the concept of Powerbeats Pro, the brand’s former sports model.

So, unlike the Powerbeats Pro headphones with an ear hook, the Beats Fit Pro comes with an upward-pointing hook that fits on top of the inner ear.

This is not surprising when you consider that each ear has a unique shape.

The brand also offers three soft silicone tip options to make it easy to find the perfect fit.

Beats Fit Pro features

  • Available in four colors: Black, Sage Gray, Stone Purple, and White;
  • Powered by Apple’s H1 chip;
  • Active noise canceling mode and transparency mode;
  • Up to 7 hours of listening time (6 hours with ANC or Transparency mode on);
  • USB-C charging case provides an additional 21 hours of battery life;
  • Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking;
  • Beats Fit Pro supports spatial audio with Dynamic Head Tracking.

To use this feature users need to use AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max or Beats headphones equipped with the H1 or W1 chip for wireless communication.

This tracking uses gyroscopes and accelerometers to adjust the sound as you turn your head, for a multidimensional experience that feels very immersive.

Beats Fit Pro features

Powered by Apple’s H1 chip

It comes with an H1 chip that powers a handful of Apple-enabled features.

That is, it comes with functions for automatic switching of the playback device (between iPhone, iPad, and Mac), audio sharing, and one-touch pairing.

Also included are voice commands for Siri, integration with the Find My network, and head tracking for dynamic audio.

Compatible with Android

Another advantage of Beats Fit Pro is its compatibility with Android.

That way, with the Beats app for Android, you’ll have the right features.

Plus, they let you easily connect to most Apple and Android devices via Bluetooth right out of the box.

There’s also a tuning test for your headphones to help you get the best sound possible.

Active noise cancellation

Beats Fit Pro has Apple’s unmatched noise-canceling performance.

In other words, this makes it an amazing competitor to AirPods 3 within the company itself!

And while the target audience is still people who need to move while listening, tests suggest that the comfort of these headphones is not comparable to that of its “rival”.

Autonomy

The headphones promise up to six hours of continuous playback with active noise cancellation turned on.

In addition, they offer an additional 18 hours through the recharging case.

However, if the ANC is deactivated, the autonomy increases to seven hours.

Beats Fit Pro: availability and price

There is no forecast for the official launch of the Beats Fit Pro headphones in other markets.

However, in November, when it was released, it has already started its sale in the United States, and the US alone.

It has four colors available: Black, Sage Gray, Stone Purple, and White, and its official price is US$ 199,99.
